The Insurance Company is Not Your Friend

The Insurance Company is Not Your Friend

I’m Chuck Philips, a personal injury attorney practicing in New Port Richey with satellite offices in the surrounding areas.  You’ve been in an accident. And the insurance company for the at-fault party shows up at the scene or your home sometime thereafter and offers you $500 to $1,500 to resolve the claim.  They act kind and caring and concerned about you.  But they’re not.  They’re notorious for doing this. It benefits them and their insured. Because when they give you that money and you accept it, they’re going to have you sign a release which is a contract that releases them and their insured from any further claims as it relates to this accident.

You don’t know the extent of your injuries at that time.  You don’t know what treatment you’re going to need or what you’re bills are going to be.  We have had clients come to us who have entered into this type of agreement to find out that they’re now going to need surgery and they don’t have the money to pay for it.

Do not trust the wolf in the sheep’s clothing.  Call us if you have any questions concerning this type of matter. We are always here for you.
